Frequently Asked Questions, troubleshooting and assembly videos.

Q) The legs/feet of the base are uneven how can I fix this?
A) The PVC and fittings are not glued together so with a little force you can reposition the base to where you need it, watch the YouTube video listed below for a visual of how it's done.

Q) How do you tilt the wheel?
A) Watch the YouTube video listed below for a visual of how it's done.

Q) I took my wheel apart and forgot how it goes back together?
A) For the CSBW, take the carriage bolt and run it through the inside of the bucket wheel, now take the nut and run it down the carriage bolt until it's snug against the roller blade, now add one washer, next the PVC arm (the piece with the holes drilled in it), now the last washer and finish with the wingnut. Watch the YouTube video listed below for a visual of how it's done

Q) Do the metal nuts ever need to be tightened?
A) The CSBW metal nuts should be tightened up a few times a month. The CSE wheel does not need any nuts tightened ever.

Q) Do you have any tips for keeping the bearings from getting wet while cleaning?
A) Take your time and dry well, for the CSBW a piece of tape over the bolt/zip ties works pretty good just remove it before use.

Q) What are the two round things and zip ties that came with my wheel for?
A) If you bought the CSBW wheel those are extra bearings and zip ties, should you ever need to replace the bearings.

Q) My wheel looks kind of off center, and it doesn't spin perfectly straight.
A) Store bought wheels and handmade wheels alike will not always spin perfectly straight, that being said most pets get accustomed to the wheel fairly quickly and they don't seem to mind at all.

Q) My wheel has gotten loud what can I do?
A) Make sure all the nuts are tight and everything is in correct order (see videos below), now give the wheel a shake. Did you hear anything? If so, it's most likely a loose nut (watch the video below to see how we fix it). If you don't hear anything when you shake the wheel it could be uneven feet on the base of the wheel or perhaps the pet is running so hard it's vibrating around, if that's the case try securing the wheel to the cage so it's not being moved around.
